Someday I will blink And wonder how I got from Then to this moment

Good night and farewell Dream sweet dreams of things you love In sleep you prosper

You were in my dream The other details are gone But they weren't as good

Did Adam dream of Eve when the lord took his rib Sweet dreams of his wife

I love my reflection Just the sight of me But when I find an impurity I find a way to just pop it back down I love myself more than I love anyone Though it is probably unhealthy I just can't get enough Of the insatiable me But there are days when I find Only my worst is showing And I am hideous to me The person I care for the most So I want to hide and I want to hate I want some way to deal with it But I just end up staring At what I can't or won't control I tell myself that I am lovely And that I am loved But when I break out I feel my insecurity rise I writhe inside and walk as best I can And I try my best to change

Shimmering through a small crack in the door Shows some light at the foot of the closet Enticing you to think that there is more Makes you believe that there is an exit Swing wide the doors with the white painted slats To marvel at what this gate is hiding Hope to see fantasy, not just your hats To see spectacle, pretty birds gliding The light is a candle from long ago Your imagination had the matches You should have opened the door nice and slow To help keep your dreams behind the latches But there can still be a land of splendor For the one who is still a pretender

When the light is going down And the stars are poking out  I can see an image of you  I am reminded of your beautiful smile And your lovely hazel eyes As the daylight meets the twilight  I remember your gorgeous smile  As the stars perk out in the west And the sun disappears in the east When the blues and yellows blend I see the moments we shared I feel it deep inside spreading  And this is what keeps me up As the memory blurs and wisps away I can't see you as well in my head But the stars will take the night and the sun shall claim the day And I will see the two meet again

I feel the need to release But I think it's already out there Like my words are already Swimming out there in the cold Just like my words will be Once I let them into the ocean we call life I hear the radio, I hear the TV I go to the movies, I go to the plays I see the things that are in me And feel like I don't have to say them any more But I still need to say what is inside I feel the need to create something new But I'm not sure if anything is new anymore We're just looking at the regurgeaitation Of a song, that is based off a play That was inspired by a painting That was meant to portray a poem That says how a man felt

The most horrifying sight I could ever think of would be a time machine With a window that overlooked what you pass by as you go To see your town change, grow, mutate, eventually end To see those you love go away, change so fast, grow old and die To see the things you thought important, turn to dust and rust The terror to see the ideas that moved you become basic  And have new ideas and new systems charge forward To see the end of all things without being apart of any of it So I shall go about with my hands in everything Making messes, breaking some of it, turn apathetic to some of it But if I am to see the end of these things,

What is left? A burning heap of coals left to exhaust themselves?  I burn inside to stay, but life drives me away.  I would love to love you and feel your sift touch.  If I could, I would have us just lay forever in each others arms Watching an eternal sunset in each others eyes But fiction is for books and live songs, and cold hard reality is hear to test us So I cannot say I no longer feel, though I love to show that I can feel nothing But I shall instead grow stronger in my resistance, more resilient from the burden of my feelings While i would live to be the fire that burns with you  The gears of life that dri
